We owe so much to pioneering black artist and DJs who have driven our scene to what it is now. ⁣ ⁣ Racism is still widespread, too often ignored and unpunished. We stand in support of all protests fighting against the unjust deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and so many more from police brutality. A quick message from us... We’re thinking of you all. We sincerely hope that you and your families are keeping healthy, and that you are coping as well as you possibly can during these scary and uncertain times. For us, this has been by far the most challenging period we have ever experienced as a business, as we’re sure it has been for many of you too. In particular, witnessing the impact this has had on all of our staff member’s livelihood, and anyone associated with our venue from a professional perspective, has been nothing short of heartbreaking. Fortunately, due to the Job Retention Scheme, we have been able to help the vast majority of our staff by placing them on Furlough, to ensure they have as much financial support as possible. However, unless there is continued government support and more bold action, a huge percentage of venues like ours simply won’t survive. As we’re sure you will agree, music venues, bars and restaurants are an essential part of our community and culture, as well as people’s way of life. Not only is nightlife culture at risk, but millions of jobs are also at stake. This is why we’re wholeheartedly supporting an initiative by Jonathan Downey and other industry colleagues, who are calling for and a 9 month to help protect UK hospitality businesses and save 2 million jobs. People always ask about our residency artworks (which always disappear from our toilets..), so we've decided to release a select few as big glossy A2 posters. We’re gutted that we couldn’t be open for Palms Trax's residency opening party tonight. Strange and hard times happening right now all around the world in the clubbing industry (and music scene in general) and beyond.
