Designing a residential building in a city as international as London really calls for a focus on amenities and layouts that meet the aspirations of its residents from around the world.
This was our aim for the Canaletto building.
The facade was a very important element in bringing this intention to life. Triangular in shape, it allows for transparency across the entire building and for every apartment to have views of London - whether of the bustling neighbourhood streets or the city skyline. The grouped balconies also give residents an extension of their living space and an outdoor experience.

Our residential Canaletto tower in London features a ribbon facade, clustering several floors together to form a group of vertical communities that are more similar to the small scale of neighbouring buildings than to a typical high-rise.
By ‘scaling down’ the building, we emphasise the intimate residential experience.

In a residential building, we want those calling it home to really feel like they are part of a unique work of architecture, something that is identifiably theirs.
Enter: Canaletto.
The design of this high-rise residential tower specifically emphasises the clustering of different floors, creating small communities that are visibly unique from other nearby towers.

When complete, the wasl Tower in Dubai will have one of the world’s tallest ceramic facades.
Aesthetically, the facade references the UAE’s pearl and oil industries, but it’s also designed with sustainability in mind.
The ceramic material is strong enough to withstand the harsh temperatures in the Middle East, and combined with special shading fins, it will reduce the facade’s net heat load by 20%.

The Knowledge Mile Park Bridge is an elevated footpath and park that acts as a physical and symbolic connection across the carriageway dividing the two sides of Amsterdam’s University of Applied Sciences.
This new green feature in the Dutch capital will form a central location on the uni campus that is accessible to everyone.

The New Budapest Bridge is a much-needed link over the Danube river in the post-industrial southern area of Hungary’s capital.
As @ben_van_berkel explained, we had one key aim for the design:
“It was essential that the bridge be in harmony with Budapest and its future vision.”
