πKawaii promotes calm behavior and narrows your focus. How to make mundane or unpleasant tasks in banking UI more fun? Try to use pastels, rounded corners and soft drop shadows.
It is approachable and charming. How do you feel about this design? For you it's just a trend, a function, a way to convey emotion?
π Estimate the value of kawaii in the design today from 1 to 10 in comments

This is an attempt to quickly ui review of PS app. What happened is to judge you, but what the app looks now (try to download and use) can't be left as is. In my opinion, the PS app should be updated and carry more useful functionality, modern design and UX that the audience deserves. What do you think? Share your thoughts in comments below β
πAnd one more small question. Have you played the last of us part II? How do you like it?

Braun Design Principles
Good design is INNOVATIVE:
Technological development is always offering new opportunities for innovative design. Innovative design always develops in tandem with innovative technology.
Good design is AESTHETIC:
The aesthetic quality of a product is integral to its usefulness because products we use every day affect our person and our well-being. But only well-executed objects can be beautiful.
Good design is USEFUL:
It clarifies the productβs structure. Better still, it can make the product talk. At best, it is self-explanatory.
Good design is UNOBTRUSIVE:
Products are like tools. They are neither decorative objects or works of art. Their design should therefore be both neutral and restrained, to leave room for the userβs self-expression.
Good design is SMART:
Nothing must be arbitrary or left to chance. Care and accuracy in the design process show respect towards the user.
Good design is HONEST:
It does not make a product more innovative, powerful or valuable than it really is. It does not attempt to manipulate the consumer with promises that cannot be kept.
Good design is MINIMALISTIC:
Less, but better β because it concentrates on the essential aspects, and the products are not burdened with non-essentials. "Back to purity, back to simplicity"
Dieter Rams

How to make cute icons? π
It's very simple!
The main thing is to follow the main principles.
1. Make a large radius of angles of shapes.
2. Build compositions from primitives.
3. Use soft gradients.
4. Add effects, but know the measure.
5. Try different techniques and methods to improve the result.
Hope you find it useful for you!
Thanks for watching. See you in the next post π
We have all known the pain of a client interfering in the design process.
There is a solution!
π Collaboration
Involve the client in the design process and not exclude them.
It's about psychology. The more we exclude or resist clients, the more control they are trying to exert.
Advantages:
β Clients will spot problems early on if you involve them.
β It will be easier for the customer to protect your design in the future.
β You can avoid a bunch of iterations of design edits.
β More enjoyable and time saving design process.
Questions to clients and stakeholders
! Awareness is your weapon and the way to a successful case.
β How can you describe your target audience?
β How do you plan to optimize the user experience?
β What's the main message you want to share?
And other questions will help you learn all the necessary information to create a design that you and the client will like. And of course the most important thing is that users will love it.
Collaborative Moodboarding
Your moodboard may include:
- Imagery (using Flickr)
- Color (using a tool like Coolors.co)
- Typefaces (using Google Fonts)
- Style (Dribbble or Behance)
Expert evaluation
Try to provide expert advice during design protection.
This will remove the client's fears because he'll start believing you.
Focus on problem
Help the client to focus on identifying problems. (YES) Logo and text are very small, let's make it bigger.
(NO) The majority of users are 40+, so all content should be easy to read.
Design progress
Try to start your design development with a concept. Together with the client define the vision. Then divide the entire design process into stages and show the progress in small parts.
Donβt be afraid of additional corrections. This will finally save you a lot of time and client budget. π‘Just try it and you will find that your projects become much more pleasurable experiences, for both parties.
I'm back friends! Hope you have a great day.
