Healing Pavilion, designed by @ball_nogues_studio, is located within the new garden of an urban hospital, providing shade and seating for visitors. Its most important function, however, is creating a place that momentarily transports the visitor's mind away from illness. The intricate patterns formed by the tubes and the shadows cast on the ground are meant to captivate the visitor’s imagination. This is a place suitable for sitting alone or sharing a moment with another person.
The pavilion is fabricated from 2793 linear feet of 2-inch diameter mild steel tube that were precisely bent with a computer numerically controlled rolling system. Each of the 352 individual tubes are unique and together they form a structural shell that has no hierarchy in a traditional sense. There are no extraneous elements. It has an integrated structure and surface.

Interior photo gallery of the Light of Life Church designed by @shinslabarchitecture tells the story of the resurrection in , 2014. The surface of the Dome is formed by the ends of the cut red cedar trunks. Unlike cut wood that is laid down horizontally, all trunks are standing upright like the trees of the forest; 834 unique pieces, seem to tell the story of the resurrection. None of these pieces are wood, they are trees.

Designed by @jorislaarman, The Aluminium Gradient chair is like high res furniture which elaborates on the use of in design in the digital age. The chair was designed for, and directly laser sintered in Aluminium.
By using generative and parametric design tools and new material research Joris Laarman team basically created a lightweight aluminum foam-like structure that is engineered on a cellular level to address specific functional needs for different areas in the object. The solid cells in the design create structural strength and rigidity while the more open cells create material reduction and lightness. All within one single printing technique, creating an intricate sort of 3D transparency.

“BEAUBOURG” is a massive wooden architectural installation by Russian artist Nikolay Polissky built in 2013. Born in 1957 in Moscow, artist Nikolay Polissky creates impressive, handcrafted structures in the middle of Russia's vast landscapes. Mostly carried out in the town of Nikola Lenivets - located 200 km from the Russian capital - his works are built entirely by the area's residents, using local materials, such as branches, trunks and wooden tables. Traditional construction techniques are used as a starting point for the projects.

Archi-Union has surrounded the Light of Internet World Internet Conference Centre in , , with pavilions that were built using robotic construction techniques. Surrounding the conferance hall are four themed pavilions, the Water Pavilion, Moon Pavilion, Red Pavilion and Cloud Pavilion. The design and construction of each employed experimental, robot-based construction techniques. They provide amenity spaces for conference attendees that demonstrate the potential of digital technologies for architecture.

Step inside the sculptural sauna in the form of a golden egg-shaped chamber created by artists Bigert & Bergström in Kiruna, Sweden. Solar Egg is comprised of 69 separate pieces of gold-plated stainless-steel sheets, which come together to form the multifaceted oval. Located 145 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland, the egg-shaped form is intended to make reference to the climate, with the snowy surroundings reflected in the golden mirrored surface.

New York based practice @softlab.nyc designed NOVA as a temporary pavilion that reflected kaleidoscopic views of New York's Flatiron district. At the foot of new york’s soaring flatiron building, local design studio SOFTlab has built an aluminum pavilion that reflects and reveals kaleidoscopic views of the surrounding cityscape. ‘NOVA, commissioned by the flatiron 23rd street partnership following a competition by the van alen institute, offers glimpses of the ever-shifting landscape of neighboring towers and bustling pedestrian traffic through a series of scopes.
Visitors entering the vibrantly colored gazebo can gaze at the atmosphere outside by peering through a set of angular apertures, each framing the environment in geometric and abstract perspectives. The scopes, each pointing in a different direction, form a shape that is different from all sides at street level, but resembles a seven pointed star from above.

This clever Maze designed by BIG, gets less confusing as you reach the center. This maze from Danish architecture firm BIG is made for those of us with higher than normal maze-related anxiety. BIG’s 60 x 60-foot wooden labyrinth is built into the soaring great hall of the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Inspired by the garden labyrinths of the 17th and 18th century Europe, BIG's maze looks traditional—until you see it from above.
