This Bronx landmark was built in 1842, and Mayor LaGuardia used it as his summer office more than nine decades later. Today, @Bartow_Pell Mansion Museum is a place to experience 19th-century country life in modern New York City. The architecture is breathtaking, with a freestanding spiral staircase at the entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows on the second floor, and magnificent, flora-filled grounds outside. Tours and special events immerse guests of all ages in the history of the site and the borough.⁠ ⁠ Bartow-Pell has been reopen since early September and remains so through November. As New York City continues to reopen, many familiar venues have been announcing their return—among them the Whitby Hotel (1), which began welcoming guests over the weekend. Its sister hotel, Crosby Street Hotel (2), is also open, along with Crosby Terrace, serving lunch, dinner, and cocktails in an outdoor setting. @TheJewishMuseum, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side, has reopened. Current shows include "We Fight to Build a Free World: An Exhibition by Jonathan Horowitz" and "Rachel Feinstein: Maiden, Mother, Crone" along with scenes from the museum's collection. ⁠ ⁠ In accordance with government regulations and health guidance, visitors must reserve timed tickets and observe additional policies as part of their visit.⁠ ⁠ And, since the Jewish Museum is , visitors can enjoy free admission through December 2020.
