This Bronx landmark was built in 1842, and Mayor LaGuardia used it as his summer office more than nine decades later. Today, @Bartow_Pell Mansion Museum is a place to experience 19th-century country life in modern New York City. The architecture is breathtaking, with a freestanding spiral staircase at the entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows on the second floor, and magnificent, flora-filled grounds outside. Tours and special events immerse guests of all ages in the history of the site and the borough.
Bartow-Pell has been reopen since early September and remains so through November. Go and and plan a visit to support this Bronx gem. Link in bio.

For today's story, we're highlighting @Bubbys and its owner, Ron Silver, who says:
💬
"Bubby's is . We’ve been through a lot since we opened in 1990, including 9/11, Hurricane Sandy, and other NYC disasters. Although nothing has been as devastating as this, we are committed to the city and will weather the COVID storm too. Not only are we open for takeout and delivery, outdoor seating (and soon indoor too!), but we've used the time to innovate our century-old sourdough starter to make bread, pizza, and more. Stay strong, NYC. We're not going away anytime soon. We are ."

It's time for another installment of our : Opening Up series Today we're spotlighting LGBGTQ+ travel bloggers Gabi & Shanna of @27travels (pictured here at @EdgeNYC), who say:
💬💬💬
"NYC is our ride or die ✌🏻🏙 New York City has been our home together for the last 3 years, but separately, it’s been our home most of our lives. Both of our families have been in NYC for generations, and we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else (at least right now).
"As New Yorkers, we’ve been through a lot but we always come out stronger because of it. Yes, our city was hit HARD during the pandemic, but New Yorkers are tough and resilient. We know how to bounce back, and we feel like our city is just as alive as ever. Outdoor dining and closed-off streets have made NYC feel like Europe and really brought out the soul of the city. No matter what happens, you can never take the heart out of the big 🍎
"So this is our love letter to the city we call home. We love you NYC & we ain’t going anywhere. We’re ❤️🗽"
