So you've probably seen every influencer you follow talking about at-home IPL devices. Those popular brands wanted to work with me and after trialling them for a little while I said no - I just didn't see results. I crossed off the category as a whole, assuming that at-home devices just weren't strong enough. Wrong! I was approached by @braunaustralia to trial their Series 5 IPL device. I said that I needed to use the device for at least 3 months, which then turned into 6 months, because I wanted to be certain it worked. I mainly used it on my underarms (I tried it on other areas but not as frequently) and was stoked to notice that after repeated use the hair was disappearing and taking weeks and weeks to grow back, if it grew back at all. I don't think I'll ever be able to remove all of it because my hair is light and these devices work off the contrast between your skin and hair colour (eg. fair skin with dark hair will see the best results), but the fact that I can go weeks without shaving is AMAZING (and means no razor bumps or ingrown hairs!) 🎉 The Series 5 IPL device also has a feature that automatically and continuously adapts to your skin tone to ensure an optimal balance between efficacy and safety (Reece and I tested this - my light was at full strength because I'm fair, Reece's light was half strength because he's tanned)!
