Lil Miss Sweet Tooth✨Anyone that knows me knows that I have an insatiable sweet tooth. When life gives me lemons I literally make lemonade😆
*
I remember the first time I realized I was an emotional eater and it was when I was going through a tough time in my teens and found myself eating a banana split for the 3rd time in one week. Now I’ve found healthy ways to deal with my stress like time in nature, journaling, and breathwork but I still have a sweet tooth so I always look for ways to enjoy sweet treats that don’t have a ton of sugar. I use herbs, fruits and alternative sweeteners like the @lakanto original liquid monk fruit extract to enjoy sweetness that’s not harmful to my body. Drop a 🙋🏾♀️ if you’d like the recipe for my Blueberry Parfait. It’s delicious and nutritious.💕 by
Drop a 🙏🏾 if you agree✨

Taking time to deepen my spiritual practice and love the inspirational videos @lightwatkins has been sharing which have helped me think about where I stand with everything that’s going on. This quote specifically touched my heart because it’s my daily spiritual practice that has helped me stay focused on my purpose and process the personal and collective pain the most.✨
*
With the debates, election and mass manipulation I feel my spiritual practice is what I’ll be leaning on for divine guidance as I educate myself on the facts.✨

Yes, I am well. People have been reaching out because I’m not posting as much as I used to. Honestly, I just decided to take the weekend off and spend some quality time with my Mom without worrying about what I need to post or say. It felt amazing. I’ve actually been very conflicted since watching see how I’m part of the problem and part of the solution. If you haven’t seen it I highly suggest giving it a watch. Give yourself a break from social when you need it. Follow your heart more than you follow the trends. I’m sure I’ll have more to say about the topic but for now I’m just making sure I don’t let work and social media consume me. I spend time in nature and with my loved ones. I’ve had a lot of heart to hearts lately just letting people know I’m here for them outside of social. For now deepening my spiritual and physical practice feels good. Regardless, Beyoncé said it best “this my mood 4 eva”

Drop a 💗to affirm✨
*
Tag three friends to spread good vibes. These affirmations came to me all at once after a pretty deep meditation. I was driving in my car rushing to my next thing when I had to pull over and these affirmations flooded my consciousness about 4 years ago when I started my @getlovedup holistic health and yoga teacher training school. They became our daily prayer and grounded me in my truth. I feel empowered every time I recite them and I hope you do too.✨
*
Do you ever get streams of consciousness out of nowhere? If you do I highly encourage you to write it down or record yourself sharing the information. We all hold keys to balancing the light and darkness in the world. I know it can be scary sometimes but don’t be afraid to shine. The world needs you to believe in you. You are LOVE. ✨
Reflections✨ My relationship with my Mom gives me hope for humanity. I got so many messages from you all saying that you had similar situations. I truly believe healing starts from within. When we heal our personal trauma and the trauma within our closest relationships we will understand how to create the systems to heal the toxicity we see in the world. Healing starts from within✨
*
As we gradually move towards the end of the year, we have experienced loss, injustice, awakenings and glimmers of change across the board. In a time, such as this, it’s easy to lose hope and faith that things will work out. There are so many questions that run through our heads: When will this pandemic come to an end, who will the next president be, or will there ever be an end to racism?✨
*
Despite the fear and uncertainty this is our time to rise. Each and every one of us have an opportunity to face our fears and love ourselves, others and the world unconditionally. Instead of losing hope because of what this year has thrown our way, we can instead become encouraged by what we have been able to get through. And now, we have the opportunity to finish the year out on a higher vibration through caring for ourselves and others as best as we know how.✨
*
Let me be honest, Mom and I still butt heads but instead of taking our disagreements personal like I used to, I now see them as opportunities for growth. Opportunities to be more patient, opportunities to express unconditional love, opportunities to unpack unaddressed childhood trauma. It took me a while to figure it out but the goal in life is not success and abundance...the goal in life is unconditional, unwavering love.✨
*
So if the goal is love, how do we get there? Realize, that even the challenges, chaos, and sickness are opportunities for love. So you’re already there. Take a deep inhale and exhale...that’s love...close your eyes and repeat whenever you’re feeling separation until you feel LOVE again. Let the breath give you hope. As long as you are alive you are the change.
Facing Fears✨ I haven’t tried this acro flow in a long time and even when practicing regularly I didn’t trust many people to hold me in it. At 5’10 and 155-165 pounds it’s really not easy to trust someone tossing your body in the air but the more I learned to trust the more my partner understood how to hold and support my body.✨
*
I’m not saying acro is the key to relationships but if we don’t trust people enough to have the hard conversations and work through uncomfortable moments how can we flow together?
*
We’re still working on our pops and my toes hit the ground hard but no lil pittys were injured. 😂😂😂

Childhood Dream Come True✨As a young athlete, I loved @oxygenmagazine and the cover model stories and workouts always inspired me to keep going when I wanted to give up on life. It was something about their perseverance and come-back stories that motivated me to keep going even on my darkest days. Being a lover of wellness and people, I always wondered if I could inspire in the same way.✨
*
I unfortunately got caught up in comparison and my insecurities, doing everything I could to be “what they wanted” I changed my hair, my body and my diet (in the beginning) to fit the mold I thought they wanted. I sent in cover try after cover try with no response. I felt like a failure and like I’d never be “good enough” unless I got a boob job and put on more body mass than I was naturally comfortable with. It wasn’t until I stopped TRYING and started focusing on LOVING myself and SERVING my community that the call came.✨
*
Swipe left to see my first Oxygen cover. It was a dream come true and what made me happiest were the letters from around the world of young ladies just like myself saying my story inspired them to start practicing self care, training or keep going after an injury.✨
*
My second cover caught me in a similar position. Nurturing myself and pouring into my community online. I truly believe if you focus on your purpose and service and ALLOW right things to FLOW into your life they will come. Not at all effortlessly. But with consistent practice and commitment to living a purpose-filled life, even in the darkest times, you will shine.✨
*
Thank you @oxygenmagazine for seeing me, valuing me and giving me an opportunity to inspire more people via your magazine and our new Wellness Warrior online course. I’m excited beyond words and look forward to guiding you all through the holiday and election season with fierce INTENTION and STRENGTH. We got this. 💗🙏🏾🙌🏾

The BREATHE Act is the modern-day Civil Rights Act that we deserve. The BREATHE Act offers a radical reimagining of public safety, community care, and how we spend money as a society.✨
*
We bring 4 simple ideas to the table:
•Divest federal resources from incarceration and policing.
•Invest in new, non-punitive, non-carceral approaches to community safety that lead states to shrink their criminal-legal systems and center the protection of Black lives—including Black mothers, Black trans people, and Black women.
•Allocate new money to build healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities.
•Hold political leaders to their promises and enhance the self-determination of all Black communities.

Uprisings around the country changed what was possible. What felt impossible two months ago is being accomplished now; what seems impossible today is doable tomorrow, and we will be the ones to make it happen. We are our ancestors’ wildest dreams. Courtesy of: actionnetwork.org
The Final Equinox of 2020✨ let's begin to reflect back on the past few months of 2020✨Despite the hardships that have shifted this world, what challenges have you turned into opportunities for growth? How have you continued to shine despite the darkness?✨
*
This is a season of change, nurturing, and letting go. We are always developing: our minds, our bodies and our environment. Think back on how you persevered through this year so far and let that strength guide you through the next few months. Seek comfort in those you love. Let go of past mistakes because no one is perfect. Let go of what didn't go right before and move forward knowing you can still get it right in this lifetime.✨
