🎨: Black Cat by Karen Obuhanych 🧩: Fred . . Wow, so apparently this brand I’ve never heard of just casually produced a bunch of high quality puzzles (at an excellent price point). They obviously had someone who loved puzzles in charge of this effort because the attention to detail is great. Good thing I bought 5 more of their puzzles...😬😄

🎨: Fast Break by Kenneth Scott Jr 🧩: The NOLA Puzzle Company . Thanks again to @thenolapuzzlecompany for sending me this puzzle for review! The quality of this one was almost identical to the last one I reviewed, so I’ll give an abbreviated version so as not to be too repetitive. In case you missed my first review, I’ll post it in my stories for easy access. . 📦 Box: Small, compact cardboard box. Tab-locking so no fear of pieces falling out. . 🧩Pieces: Pieces come in a resealable plastic bag. They’re on the thinner and lighter-weight side, but no issues with bending or peeling. Similar to the last puzzle, some of the pieces were stuck together at one corner, but fewer than last time. Mostly traditional grid-shaped pieces, with a few interesting ones thrown in. . 🤝Fit: Similar to my last experience, the border is very loose, but the fit gets tighter with more pieces and toward the middle of the puzzle. It didn’t hinder my enjoyment. . ☕️I enjoyed putting this together quite a bit, even though it made me hungry 😋. I really think the art sets this new puzzle company apart. I cannot wait to see what puzzles they release next!

🎨: Passion, Purpose and Peace by Myesha Francis 🧩: The NOLA Puzzle Company . Thanks again to @thenolapuzzlecompany for sending me this puzzle for review! . . 📦 Box: Small, compact box (similar to the size of Gearheads 500 piece puzzle boxes). No space wasted here folks, it is just large enough to fit the puzzle pieces. I kind of like that it’s a tab-locking box...no chance of the lid coming off and losing pieces. There’s a short artist bio on one side of the box, which I really like. . 🧩Pieces: Pieces come in a resealable plastic bag. They’re on the thinner and lighter-weight side. Some of the pieces were stuck together at one corner, like the die was a bit dull. There was no image peeling or bent pieces. I think the cut would still be described as standard/grid but some of the pieces were the length of two (intentionally, not due to a bad cut). I really liked them, I thought it was a fun/interesting change up to standard piece shapes. Zoom in and see if you can find one of the longer pieces. . 🤝Fit: I admit, I was a little worried about the fit when I started piecing together the border. It was very loose and I couldn’t move even two pieces at a time. To be clear, the fit of the pieces themselves is actually perfect, there’s no question where a piece is supposed to go, everything lines up, it’s just loose. However, the fit got tighter as I added more pieces, especially toward the middle. So if you’re someone who starts with the border, hang in there, it gets better! By the end I could roll up most of it without it coming apart. . ™️Brand: The NOLA Puzzle Company is a Black-owned, Veteran-owned company. Their puzzles feature images created by local artists in New Orleans. Follow them and look for an announcement of their website going live in the next couple weeks! . 🌸While there’s some room for improvement in the pieces/fit (I’d say the quality is a solid B), I’m really excited to do more of these puzzles because the artwork they’ve chosen is FANTASTIC. I have two more of their puzzles to do, so look for my thoughts on those coming soon!
