Ayant vécu plusieurs semaines à la Cité Radieuse et travaillé au Mamo situé sur son toit terrasse, l’occasion était trop belle de ne pas y laisser la trace de mon passage. J’ai cherché avant tout à respecter le lieu en installant des pièces de petites tailles dans des recoins cachés de sorte qu’il faille se pencher ou se mettre à quatre pattes pour les voir. L’idée était de rendre ces invasions plus ludiques mais aussi de ne pas interférer avec la contemplation architecturale du lieu. Cette intégration est renforcée par l’utilisation des trois mêmes couleurs que celles des carreaux de faïence qu’a utilisés Le Corbusier pour tracer des motifs géométriques sur certains murs de la terrasse ! Je tiens à remercier le Mamo pour son invitation ainsi que tous les habitants de la Cité Radieuse que j’ai côtoyés pendant les quelques semaines que j’ai passées dans cet endroit hors du commun. Having lived several weeks in la Cité Radieuse and worked at Mamo on its rooftop, the opportunity was too good not to leave traces of my passage there. I tried above all to respect the place by installing my work in hidden recesses so that you have to bend down or get on all fours to see them. The point was to make these invasions more fun but also so as not to interfere with the architectural contemplation of the place. This integration is reinforced by the use of the same three colors as the earthenware tiles used by Le Corbusier to trace geometric patterns on some walls of the rooftop. I would like to thank the Mamo for the invitation and all the inhabitants of la Cité Radieuse whom I have known during the weeks that I spent in this extraordinary place. @ora_ito @marseillemodulor
