✨LAUNCH DAY GIVEAWAY✨ I am so excited to announce that my APP, Hannah Barrett Yoga, launched this morning on iOS and Android!! 🥳🎉✨ . And to celebrate I have teamed up with two of my favourite brands, @bysarahlondon & @ashapateldesigns, to bring you a MEGA giveaway! . The prizes: ✨ four lucky people have a chance to win 3 months free access to the Hannah Barrett Yoga app, ✨ one lucky person has the chance to win a selection of the @BySarahlondon collection (worth £150), and ✨ two lucky people have the chance to win not one but two gorgeous pieces from the @ashapateldesigns collection (the Aurora & Lotus Petal necklaces). . To enter:⠀ 1. Tag a friend in the comments below that you know would love to win & send them some love. (Each comment is a chance to win and you can enter as many times as you like!) 2. Make sure you're following @bysarahlondon and @ashapateldesigns. 3. Download the @hannahbarrettyoga new app - it’s free from the App and Play store (subscription options available!). And that’s it! . The By Sarah Collection is incredible - Sarah and Lauren created it whilst Lauren was going through treatment for leukaemia and it’s been formulated and handcrafted using carefully-curated, organic, plant-based ingredients (I’m obsessed). And Asha creates the most beautiful pieces, I have the Aurora necklace (part of the set up for grabs) and I honestly never take it off, it makes me SO happy. . Giveaway closes on Friday 9th October 5pm BST. This giveaway isn’t affiliated with Instagram. . And lastly, it’s a dream come true to create this app. I’ve created yoga classes which are suitable for people of all ages and abilities, from beginners to more advanced practitioners. I have such a passion for helping others to find the magic of yoga and the strength and calm it can bring into your life. When you think about being the healthiest version of yourself, it’s vital to focus on both the mind and body – so alongside classes there are meditations and other ways to help you bring your yoga practice off the mat.

PARTNER WORKOUT! You know when you picture how something will be in your head?…. And then it’s sooooo much harder?!!! This workout is that but we had a LOT of laughs in the process (last slide for some bloopers!). . These videos show some great whole body strengthening drills, and on @finolaphysio's page she’s showing a modified version! . We’d LOVE to see your attempts, especially if you manage to accomplish the squats exercise (top tip, choose someone a similar height to you!!)! Tag a friend you want to try these with and let us know how you get on! . The moves are below. Use a weight, or a bottle or even a small bag with a few objects in: 🍾OBLIQUE CHAMPAGNE BOAT TWISTS Sit back to back, sit bones reasonably far apart (so you have room to lean back). Engage the core and sit up as tall as you can. Exhale, sitting back on the sit bones and either extending both legs to come into , or extend just one leg at a time as Fin is showing. Inhale, then exhale to turn to your right to pass the object to your partner. Inhale, then exhale to turn to the left to retrieve the object back. Continue for 10 reps on one side and then 10 to the other. This is surprisingly tough on the obliques!! . 🍾SEATED ROW Both of you will get an upper body workout with this one! One of you is the anchor and you’ll work your and by holding an upright static position to keep the resistance band taut. This person, leans back into boat pose and rests their feet on their partner’s knees for stability. The other person performs a pull back to strengthen the upper back by squeezing the shoulder blades together and pulling the elbows back on the exhale, then return the arms forward on the inhale. Follow this with a mini core burner by pulling navel to spine a bit more and leaning your torso back towards the floor on the exhale, and then inhale to come back. Repeat x 10. . 🍾OBLIQUE TWIST SQUAT So. Hard! If you can, imagine your partner’s back is the wall and come down into a “wall squat”. Keep the core engaged and the knees aligned with the middle toe. You can either stay in a wall squat for 1 minute, or try the oblique twist as above.

When my daughter was born she nearly died. She fought through sepsis, jaundice, breathing issues and at one point we were told she may have issues with her heart and brain. She fought and she won. The day we took her home was incredible. . Nearly six months after taking her home I remember sitting by her cot at 2am sobs racking my body. It was one of my lowest points and I had never felt more alone. I felt broken into little pieces that I no longer recognised. . I had spent months kidding myself that I was ok and that I could manage. The overriding thought going through my brain being, “we were the lucky ones”. We were able to leave the hospital with our baby and she was ok. And that fact made me bury all the feelings of pain and struggle. . It took me a long time to finally admit to the people I love the most that I was not ok. To admit that I needed some extra help. And as hard as it was, it was the best thing I ever did. The relief that it’s ok not to be ok. That I wasn’t alone. . The reason why I am sharing this is to ensure that if this resonates with you even the tiniest bit, you know that you aren’t alone. You are NOT alone. Please speak out to someone you trust, a friend or a trusted health professional. . ‘We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.’ @brenebrown . Mental health issues don’t need to look a certain way. Don’t feel guilty for asking for help. You are not a failure. You are not a bad mother, friend, father, son, daughter.... You don’t even have to have a reason for not feeling ok. We are NOT meant to do it all ourselves and once I realised that, a huge weight was lifted. . Where there is help, there is hope. So eloquently put by my friend @annamathur.
