Cream of Mushroom Soup with Garlic Herb Breadcrumbs. We’ve officially entered the cold season (snowed all day). So Sunday night soup is happening. It's creamy, herby, buttery + topped with garlicky breadcrumbs. And every last spoonful is Delicious. Trust me. Spinach and Artichoke Stuffed Soft Pretzels. Best way to make spinach and artichoke dip a whole lot better? Stuff it inside soft pretzel dough, add extra cheese, bake and eat warm. 100% better than the dip itself. My tip? Double the recipe because you need lots of really good Sunday game day snacks. Voldemort’s Dark Serum 💀 love a good Halloween cocktail (especially with a Harry Potter twist) and this ones DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS…and definitely up to no good —> pomegranate, good amount tequila, few other things + topped off ginger beer and smoking sage for a sweet and smoky finish. It’s eerie, but warming at the same time. Sooo it’s the perfect October drink. And let’s be real, it’s just fun. Mini Apple Cider Cakes….with double the cinni sugar and some chocolate too. Think of these little cakes as a baked, old school style, apple cider doughnut, but in the form of mini cakes and with chocolate on top (if you like, which you know we do). They’re easy, the cutest, and yeah, they’re SO GOOD. I love them. Suggestion? Make these this weekend (or tonight?! Spicy Pumpkin and Pesto Cheese Stuffed Shells. You know those recipes you make again and again? I honestly don’t have a ton of them since I am always creating new recipes, BUT these cheesy shells? I’ve been making them on repeat. They. Are. So. Good. Basil pesto + ricotta cheese stuffed inside pasta shells and cooked in a spicy, creamy pumpkin vodka bolognese sauce (the sauce is the key). Fall Harvest Apple and Kale Salad. All the best autumn produce tossed into one big salad, BUT with salty, crispy prosciutto and feta too because I like a well rounded salad ;) I make this one every year. It’s such a staple. The caramelized shallot vinaigrette is my favorite, but then so is the prosciutto + cheese. It’s just really good. Shared the recipe on HBH - linked in profile.

Browned Sage Butter Chicken Piccata with Creamy (cheesy) Mushroom Pasta.  This one is good, think...go for that second serving…good. The pasta is creamy, cheesy, + a little garlicky. But then the chicken? It’s sittin’ in a lemony wine pan sauce with brown butter + crispy sage. Put it all together and it’s all the very delicious things. Pretty simple too. Cinnamon Swirl Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Butter Bread. Soo, I am well aware we may not need another pumpkin bread recipe, BUT we kind of need this one. It's gooey, chocolatey, and heavy on that cinnamon swirl. So. Very. Good. The pumpkin butter is KEY. It adds the best spiced pumpkin flavor. And then the cinnamon swirl? It turns into the gooiest layer of sweetness…especially with the chocolate chips. (healthier) Slow Cooker Creamy Tortellini Vegetable Soup. Heavy on the tortellini and topped with an extra dusting of cheese + a side of homemade beer bread (see my stories in a bit for that…it’s a must). Look, I love a bowl of soup, but it’s got to be a GOOD bowl. Ideally it needs to be creamy, it should have some carbs (always) and preferably cheese too. Enter this soup. It’s not your average soup, just a really good creamy bowl of tortellini soup with double the veggies. Recipe on HBH - linked in profile.

Tuna and Kale Salad with Caramelized Shallot Vinaigrette.  My go-to salad when I really don’t feel like cooking a thing. It's the simplest, but it's also so good because you can never go wrong with @PortofinoTuna (packed in extra virgin olive oil), avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, feta, and my caramelized shallot and cider Vinaigrette. Nothing boring. All things delicious. Healthy too. Detailed recipe below.       In a salad bowl, combine  2 heads shredded kale, 1-2 avocados, 2 cans Portofino Albacore Tuna in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese, and 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or pumpkins seeds.   Tip? Toast the nuts with a little butter and let the butter brown around the nuts. Then add flaky seas salt. So. Good.    To make the vinaigrette. Heat 1/3 cup olive oil in a medium skillet. Add the 1 thinly sliced shallot, cook until fragrant. Remove from the heat, let cool slightly. Add 2 tbs apple cider vinegar, 1 tbs fig preserves, and 1 tbs fresh thyme. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.    Pour the vinaigrette over the salad, tossing to combine. Eat and enjoy!

Homemade Broccoli Cheddar Cobbler. A mix between the coziest bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and a savory biscuit topped cobbler. It feels kind of old school (like something your mom would make when you where a kid), but it’s delicious. Just picture a creamy, cheesy bowl of broccoli cheddar, but with flaky, buttery biscuits baked on top cobbler style. Yumm. It’s an oldie HBH recipe, but I made it for Sunday night. It’s not the prettiest, but it’s GOOD. And comforting. Recipe link in profile.
