γLife has to remain beautiful.γ
Sometimes we get ourselves in situations we never thought we'd get into. Or, we find ourselves struggling to keep our promises because we don't know how to handle these situations that come in our way. Mind you that that this can go both ways - both personally and when other people are involved. And if you're unsure of where to find the answers, how do you handle and cope with your emotions? Your mental stability? It's tough because I'm sure that at a certain point, you've become an expert at overthinking the situation, or have blown out your thoughts simply because you've become so focused on the instability.
β
But when you take a step back and π«πππ₯πππ, do you find a shift in your perspective? Do you find yourself becoming empathetic to certain situations? Remember that no matter how uncomfortable your feelings might make you feel, that our constant doesn't change. That the world is and will always remain beautiful, no matter what the circumstances may be.
β
We were running late to catch the last train of the day. The train came less than a minute away before someone yelled βthe train is coming!β If I had slowed down or took a break from running up the hill, I wouldβve missed this shot. This was a reminder to always relax later and run the final stretch π

γAppreciating nature in it's most natural state.γ
There's excitement waking up at ridiculous hours to catch sunrise, or hiking steep trails to catch the last light for sunset. The outdoors isn't for everyone, but gives life perspective. Appreciating nature at its most natural state is a beautiful gift, and is something that I hope we don't forget to do, no matter how "crazy" life may be.
β
@makeetz and I were running pretty behind schedule and thought we were going to miss sunset but somehow happened to make it to the top on time. The views were absolutely gorgeous and by the time the sun set, we were the only ones on top. It was awesome having the place to ourselves, making every single minute rushed to the top worth it.

γCreating lasting memories.γ
Traveling with others has taught me balance. Everything from understanding comfort levels to accommodating other people's needs. Making sure every one is having fun while still being able to visit majority of spots listed on an itinerary.
β
Traveling has opened up new perspectives of empathy β making sure that even though you're tired, the other person will appreciate you driving hours to the next spot so that they can sleep in the car. Or, maybe it's as simple as getting their favorite snack at the gas station because you know they'll enjoy it. For the longest time, I preferred traveling solo but it's these little moments that create balance, opening up different viewpoints when traveling with others.

γNew England's Foliageγ
It hasn't even been a week since we've been chasing the autumn foliage in New England, but every single lake and random road spot ceases to amaze me. I've been taking these colors for granted my entire life, and I already can't wait to chase the foliage again next year.

γWhen one journey ends, another begins.γ
Life moves at a slow, but quick pace. This east coast trip has been constantly reminding me to enjoy the process because sooner or later, the journey may enter new waves of discomfort. Emotional strength is what will pull you through the good and the bad. But as long as you stay true to your goals, all else will follow through.

γComfort.γ
Is subjective. To most, it's something we thrive to obtain, but isn't the desired lifestyle for some. But comfort makes us happy. Happy that we feel a sense of security, loved, issueless with certainty. And whether we break out of comfort intentionally or not, we're forced to enter into a new life stage.
β
No matter what, you're going to be uncomfortable because you're breaking out of your habits, but you know everything is going to be okay. Short term, you don't want to deal with the pain, but you know it will only make you stronger in the end. You don't want to hurt people in the process, but you need to do what's best for you in the end. We can live in comfort forever but when the unexpected occurs, will we be trained enough to pick ourselves out of the influx of unknown emotions?

γChasing Autumn Colorsγ
I've lived in the east coast my entire life but never took advantage of the autumn foliage here. This is the first time chasing colors, as I'm appreciating landscapes in ways I've never looked at them before. It's funny thinking that I flew back to the east coast to take pictures of leaves but I mean, hey, the Northeast isn't so bad after all ππ

γRandom thoughts πγ
Take care of the ones you love rather than trying to please the room. Sometimes we don't realize our actions until we reap the consequences, but we probably just weren't aware of our actions during those very moments. But we live and we learn, and make mistakes in order to foster even stronger relationships.

γBeing an empath...γ
Is easily one of the hardest skills to master if this concept has been foreign to you. Shifting your understanding to implementing this into your lifestyle forces you to drop your pride, taking inordinate amounts of energy to overcome.
β
You simply just don't or can't "understand" what someone is feeling because you've never experienced what they're going through before. And if their actions go against your personal beliefs, how do you care for them beyond just being sympathetic? Especially towards the ones you love?
β
The concept of empathy has been introduced to me not too long ago. Yes, 25 years of not knowing what being an empathetic person meant. And as I still struggle to feel what someone is feeling by doing my absolute best and put myself in their shoes, I truly believe that it is obtainable if you put your mind to achieving it. Some people are born with it, some people will choose to live foreignly to this concept.
β
Being an empath takes a lot of self sacrifice and understanding those you love beyond measures. If you're not empathetic, do you ever wonder what freedom π§π¦π¦ππ΄ like if you were able to get past being sympathetic?

γIt may be happening again.γ
Change is tough. Ready or not, we contemplate because we're just not ready to step out of our comfort zone, but you know this will solve the endless mind games.
β
Selfish or not, decisions in the short are tough but is worth every tear in the long run. Scared. Fear. Uncertain. Ambiguous. Change. Have faith in the process.
β
It may be happening again.
