The dichotomy heaven—hell fits perfectly a place like @inferninoapartments. The identity and art direction we designed for this carefully restored building from 1666, located a few steps down from Plaza del Obradoiro (next to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela), was highly influenced by the mysterious and spiritual mood of the context surrounding it. Designed from inside out, we shape a brand’s universe with strategy, concept, naming and design. Our branding approach focuses on the development of tangible concepts that communicate and relate truthfully to the brand. More than a name, logo or baseline, we believe that it’s an honest storytelling that contributes to a captivating overall experience of the brand.

The identity for @einabcn was officially presented as an exhibition. Large-format pages, featuring the different elements of the identity were hung in custom-made wooden blocks, spread throughout the space. Visitors were invited to rip-off these pages and fold them into the catalogue format, becoming themselves makers of the exhibition’s publication. At the end, pages were assembled with a rubber band, specially-made for the event. We join retailers, curators, architects, artists and interior designers in the process of creating a meaningful space atmosphere. Our environmental design aims to make products, objects, stories or knowledge reachable to the audience. And also to encourage innovative and engaging interactions.

We worked with German photographers @schmott_studios to create a chromatic and lighting code for @gigistudios, that would explain the design and materials used in each collection. Still lives and detail shots combine with abstract and experimental imagery, strengthening the brand’s relationship with the creative world. Art direction is about developing the visual expression of a brand, built from its character and values. Alongside illustrators, photographers, filmmakers and architects, we translate concepts into a graphic mood that will make a brand recognizable and memorable to others. Photography: @schmott_studios
