5 STEPS TO BECOME A DIGITAL NOMAD:
1ļøā£Get it out of your head that every is either a designer, developer, or influencer. There are SO many things you can do to work online! The āTop 10 Digital Nomad Jobā lists you find on google only scratch the surface. Iāll teach you what your options are in my new online course (link in bio!)
2ļøā£Pick ONE thing to learn, & learn how to do it well. You can pick an obviously digital skill (like running Facebook ads, editing podcasts, or optimizing Youtube channels for better visibility), or something more obscure, like maximizing space in a tiny home, crocheting, or even getting a baby to stop crying.
3ļøā£ When you know how to do something REALLY WELL, you can create a business out of helping others do that thing (I also cover this in my course) so determine what kind of person or business can use your help, then offer it to someone for free.
4ļøā£Do a really good job on this unpaid gig & ask for a testimonial. Slap it on your new website & start showing it off to anyone who might be interested (Facebook groups are a great place to start!)
5ļøā£Remember that there are BILLIONS of people on the internet. Certainly there are a few people out there who would pay you for your help, so get to work refining the way you talk about your biz idea. This way, WHEN the right person hears about it, theyāll say āomg this is exactly what I need!ā
šš,š...
Simple, right?
Each part of the process requires work & dedication; but it doesnāt take a genius. I go MUCH more into detail about it in my course, so if youāre feeling overwhelmed yet intrigued, you are exactly the kind of person I created it for!
The course is called The Digital Nomad Starter Codes. Itās only $97 and it will take you through Steps 1ļøā£ & 2ļøā£ within a week!
If you want to make it all the way to 3ļøā£, take this advice next-level and buy the Online Business Bundle (which includes my course AND 100 more courses, valued at $30k!š¤Æ). Each course will help you develop a different digital skill that you can turn into a business. Itās $147; a no-brainer!
You CAN change your life *if* you take action. So get the bundle ASAP, as the offer ends Oct 12!

Happy Sunday, a.k.a Work-On-Your-Dreams day! Sunday was actually my favorite day of the week when I was balancing my full-time job with (what was then) my coaching side-hustle, as it was a day I could spend working on MY passion and future.
.
Working on Sundays can feel so empowering when you have actualizing your big dreams to look forward to!
.
Now that Iāve transitioned my career-coaching to be my full time job, I work on whatever days of the week I feel most in flow. But if youāre just starting, I do recommend doing the serious business-building tasks on a day like Sunday/ when youāll have no interruptions or obligations.
.
Why? Because changing your whole life/building a new remote career requires some serious dedication and time commitment (i.e. more than two hours a day with Netflix on in the background).
.
Thatās why I have my group coaching calls on Sunday mornings so theyāre motivated to set the rest of it aside as an official āwork-on-my-dream-lifeā day.
.
Now, before you get all āSunday is the day of rest!ā on me, Iām talking about entrepreneurship here. That shit is hard! So let Sunday be the day of rest for OTHER people who have jobs and cubicles they are content with or too stubborn to change.
.
Sunday probably still isnāt enough to make a big change quickly, but itās a solid start, and you gotta start somewhere!
.
How do you spend your Sundays? Have you ever tried to build a biz? And if so, how did you manage your time?
Itās been exactly 6 months since the borders closed on Indonesia, which means itās been 6 months and 5 days since I landed here here... š
.
...Which means itās been 6 months and 6 days since I made the most intuitive decision of my life; to quarantine in Bali.
.
Itās not luck that I ended up here.
.
I flew here just hours after I booked my flight. I donāt know how I knew that Iād feel safe here, but somehow I knew. Logically it didnāt make sense at all, but I felt like my intuition was screaming at me to ditch every single plan I had made for the spring, no matter how inconvenient it would be or what it would cost me. I was genuinely terrified that I was making the wrong decision, but still I went through with it and have been grateful for my intuition overpowering my logic every single day since.
.
Being able to recognize your fears, look them in the face, and then walk right past them is a skill you can develop. Once you can do this, you will start to find yourself having truly magical experiences on the regular.
.
Itās been a crazy year for all of us, and itās not over yet š¬ May you allow your own intuition to guide you past all of your fears and limiting beliefs so you can begin building the life of your dreams. You are worthy of them, but only you are capable of making them happenāØ
.
Note: If you post a black square today do not use any other hashtag but something related to otherwise you will obstruct the important news being shared on other bigger, relevant hashtags. See my story today for an explanation.
Stay safe everyone. Love and solidarity from Bali.
When you start traveling the world; I mean REALLY traveling, like:
.
šLearning history through the lens of different governments
ā¼ļøExperiencing the politics of a country which youāre not a citizen
šTalking with locals from places you canāt fathom growing up in
šBefriending those who donāt immediately give you a sense of familiarity
.
...your perspective on humanity changes.
.
Itās hard to put into words how, because itās more of a sense & a deep understanding that this is the truth. But if you really travel, youāll understand that on a cellular level, we are ALL THE SAMEš§¬. That we are ALL connected.
.
Youāll ALSO understand however, that the things which make us APPEAR and FEEL different & disconnected donāt have anything to do with how good, smart, kind, or capable of people we are. The things that make us appear and feel different have only and everything to do with luck.
.
(Luck, or rather, the privilege each of us are or are not born with: the lottery we did or didnāt win at birthš°)
.
In honor of George Floyd and countless others:
.
The underlying problem responsible for what happened/is happening/has been happening in the US is so heartbreaking because the solution is so clearš
.
But itās a big problem; and the solution is equal to its size. The problem is with a collective of individuals. So is the solution.
.
The problem boils down to individuals failing to recognize and exploiting their privilege/meaningless luck.
.
The SOLUTION relies on individuals to recognize their privilege & stand up for those who donāt have it.
.
If that happens frequently enough, perhaps we can one day become a culture which *actually* reflects the American Dream & Declaration of Independence ā> āthat all men are created equal.ā
.
Today though, anyone who believes that statement is at all representative of our culture is tragically & ironically at the root the problem. Please donāt let it be you.
.
.
.
P.S. This photo is from a genocide museum in Rwanda; a beautiful country where countless, unspeakably horrific hate crimes happened because of RACE šHate is a feeling; thus it begins and ends with the heart
I quit my stable, location-independent job in the middle of a global Pandemic!
.
Before you judge me: If this sounds like an irresponsible decision to you, I do empathize. I understand that we are on the brink of an economic crisis. I am aware that I NEED health insurance, and YES, I know that unemployment rates are at an all-time high. I got it.
.
Hereās why I did it though, and what Iām doing next:
.
THE WHY: Iāve spent the last 6+ years immersed in a global community of ; freedom-chasing freelancers & location independent entrepreneurs, and you canāt imagine how much Iāve learned from them all about online work. You havenāt heard all the talks or attended all the workshops Iāve been to which introduced me to countless ways to grow my personal brand and skyrocket my earning potential.
.
Despite knowing that being a remote employee is NOT the only way to be a (in fact, itās the most restrictive way to live this lifestyle), Iāve been playing safe with my remote job.
.
While Iāll be *forever grateful* for the flexible employment Iāve had over the last several years, Iām equally grateful for the last two months of quarantine. They have taken away my excuses of not having enough time to explore all the different ways to make $$ online for myself. Iāve been working my butt off, and with that, Iāve already made up five-months of my salary in my off-hours! š¤Æ
.
In short, the universe slapped me in the face with the fact that I canāt keep dedicating all my precious, productive AF quarantine hours to work for someone else. Itās time to start practicing what Iāve been preaching!
.
.
THE WHAT: I created my own dream job: Teaching others what Iāve spent all these years learning! Iām condensing my knowledge into digital content, courses, and mentorship programs. Iām helping others achieve the lifestyles of their dreams by helping them find a digital career that they love. Iām BEYOND excited to see what this next chapter brings: not just to me, but to all my clients too!

ā³The gift of time never comes for free.
.
The last time I received a āgiftā of time was when I got laid off from my job in NYC in 2012. Before that was 2009 when I hurt myself in a serious accident right before I was to go study abroad.āØ.
Both times, frankly, sucked. In NYC, I was already feeling broke AF & suddenly not having a stable job anymore was super stressful. My injury was worse though: a physically-painful 3-month emotional rollercoaster, spent entirely in bed.
.
Despite the hard times, I still look back on those experiences with surprisingly fond memories and feel grateful for them. If they hadnāt happened, I guarantee you I wouldnāt be living the lifestyle I now have. Hereās why:
.
With the loss of my job, I suddenly had TIME to walk through Central Park on weekday afternoons. I remember seeing lots of people who were clearly NOT homeless, but also were NOT wearing office clothes. Honestly, this was very confusing to me at first (āsoā¦ do these people not have to work?š¤), but ultimately helped me see life from a different perspective. Apparently, there were other ways to make money than sitting in an office. Huh.āØ.
With my injury, I suddenly had so much TIME to just THINK. At first I could only think about all I had lost. Eventually tho, I started to think about all Iād like to gain, and spent more hours than you can imagine just hanging out in my own imagination šššš¼āāļøšŗšā°š«
.
Iād daydream for hours on end about the Great Pyramids, the canals of Venice, the Carnival parties in Rio, the elephants in Thailand, & sunsets in the Sahara. If I had the energy, Iād paint my ideas, but mostly I wrote about them. One day I put them all in a single list & wrote āLive Life to the Fullestā at the top. Thats now my Bucket List, and I still review & update it regularly. 60 countries later, I consider it my lifeās masterpiece - itās been a guiding light for me & my decision-making ever sinceāØ
.
Years from now we will reflect on this experience & will each have our own unique story to tell. Will yours be about a gift of time, or the price you paid? Remember that itāll just be a story, but the way you tell it is your choice.
Sometimes I tell white lies to myself.
.
Sometimes I tell myself everything is going to be okay, even when Iām not sure it will be.
.
Iāll tell myself that the mean thing someone said isnāt true, even if, deep down, I might believe it.
.
Iāll tell myself Iām beautiful, even if (and especially when) Iām having a bad hair day, feeling fat, or not pretty enough.
.
Iāve told myself my heartbreak wonāt last forever, even when it felt like it would never heal.
.
Iāve told myself that the money will find itās way back into my bank account, even if I couldnāt predict how Iād make it.
.
I tell myself that of course Iāll be able to see my family and friends again. That while life may not quite go back to normal, itāll go to a place thatās even better than it was before.
.
.
Itās not easy to look yourself in the mirror, look at your bank account, or write in your gratitude journal daily when things feel really hard. But the point of me telling you all of the above is that, even IF (and especially when) you feel like itās a big lie, I promise it WILL help you. Itāll help you immediately cope in that moment, & eventually the moments will string together and form a habit: A habit of letting your higher self take control of your ego.
.
šš»Once youāre able to do that, your life and world around you WILL start changing. And those white lies you told yourself? Theyāll start to become the real, honest-to-goodness truth.
.
Here are 4 things you can do to manifest more positivity & beautiful truths into your life:
.
šKeep your phone on airplane mode as you sleep. Before you turn on your notifications, write down 5 things youāre grateful for.
.
šListen to guided meditations before sleep or in the morning. @insighttimer app has them for free
.
šStart regularly giving yourself the pep talk you wish someone else would you give you. If youāre starting from a low place & feel like āregularlyā isnāt sustainable, you can record your own voice saying it in a voice memo one time, & replay it each morning.
.
šVow to become more generous with your words of appreciation for others. Offer kind words to everyone without expecting a compliment in return.
.
