@alexachung wears vintage @prada on the digital green carpet for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020 .
For this year’s digital green carpet, Alexa chose to re-wear a vintage cocktail dress crafted from gold lamé brocade that she wore to the Vogue 100 event in 2016. Prada is a regular Green Carpet Challenge supporter, most recently dressing Matilda Lutz at the 2019 GCFAs in a custom gown inspired by twentieth century walking dresses and made from certified organic silk and embellished with Swarovski lead-free Advance crystals.

At Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte praised Made in Italy and the Italian Fashion Industry, he also addressed climate change in a beautiful speech spending encouraging words for the delicate global situation:
“The pandemic has tested every human being on the planet, global recovery will test us further, as we fight to also save the environment from the dangers of climate change. This is a delicate moment, the leading countries will be those who demonstrate resilience and ingenuity; these are the qualities embedded in the Italian Industries that we celebrate here tonight and illustrated by the work that is showcased in tonight’s incredible multimedia event [...]” @giuseppeconte_ufficiale

Anna Ewers @annaewers wears vintage @maxmara Mara on the digital green carpet for the
The bolero jacket and trousers were created in 1989 and have been selected from the Max Mara archives, a retro nod to the eighties that also honours the original skill, work and materials that were used to create the original look. Thankfully, we are beginning to see an increase in vintage on the red carpet, glamorously dismantling the stigma around re-wearing outfits and demonstrating that good garments never go out of style.
@biancabrandolini wears @philosophyofficial by Lorenzo Serafini on the digital green carpet for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020.
Bianca wears a ruffled polka dot print Philosophy dress made from organic silk georgette created by Italian mill, Fasac and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). The fabric has been printed using processes that align with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) protocol, which was developed to prevent the release of hazardous chemical into the environment.
@yoventura wears @diesel on the digital green carpet for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020.
This Green Carpet Challenge look is an upcycled fusion of iconic Diesel silhouettes and bold, distinctive motifs. The long souvenir jacket has been reinvented as a dress and is covered in a collection of iconic embroideries from the past decades of Diesel, which depicts the brand’s story and heritage. The look features LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose and LENZING™ Tencel™ lyocell made from certified renewable wood sources. @ecoage

@oliviapalermo wears @tommyhilfiger on the digital green carpet for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020.
Olivia’s backless orange gown was selected from the Spring 2019 TommyXZendaya capsule collection, inspired by iconic women of the 70s and co-designed by global brand ambassador Zendaya. The gown was hand-beaded by highly skilled artisans and was originally worn by Priyanka Chopra at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2019. Fashion can be fast-moving, but we are breaking down the stigma of re-wearing garments that took time and skill to create, celebrating the time and creativity that went into bringing them to life. This notion is integral to concept of the Green Carpet challenge, and is shared by Tommy Hilfiger’s Make it Possible program, the label’s most recent endeavour in committing to 24 bold targets around circularity and inclusivity towards 2030. @ecoage

@parkersawyers wears Ermenegildo @zegnaofficial XXX on the digital green carpet for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020.
Parker Sawyers has fully embraced the Green Carpet Challenge by re-wearing an existing look that was originally made from recycled fibres. Zegna’s project recovers pre-consumer offcuts from Zegna’s manufacturing process and mechanically recycles them, without the use of chemicals, into new fabric. Offcuts from garment manufacturing are often discarded, resulting in a huge amount material and resource waste. Recovering these materials and giving them another life through recycling is an important way to make sure we don’t waste resources. @ecoage

The GCFA Art of Craftmanship Award – Italian Artisans 💚: Italian Artisans
“This year all of our Brands would have deserved most of our awards, since they have been giving an incredible contribution to the health- emergency we have experienced, not only through huge donations but also through industry conversions for medical productions. However, the Brands believed that it was more important to emphasize and give relevance to the hundreds of thousands of people working behind the scenes, in the production supply chain: artisans, tailors, modelers and all the other workers.”
