Dear Tati,
Summer’s almost over. Instagram Stories from Tulum are quieting down. So the big question is, “Where do we go next?” If you told me last year this is what 2020 would look like, I wouldn’t have believed you. It almost makes me nostalgic for being on set and stressed out together. Nostalgic for our “What is she wearing today?” game. Nostalgic for our impromptu hangouts that started at 4pm and landed us at just about any location in the city.
Speaking of locations, you know I’m only down the street, right? We could do a whole fashion runway activation to get you to hit a walk from your apartment to mine. And then we can do some combination of Black is King choreo, self-care, and celebrity gossiping over drinks. Sounds good, right?
So to answer my question from earlier, without BBDO as our home, we can use my apartment as a stand-in. And from there, we’ll keep going up.

Thanks for dropping in for another edition of Jacob’s Weekly Review Newsletter where I review all things dope (to me.)
First up on the list are my latest Steel Cut Oats with Caramelized Apples. Yes, oats are back! Since it’s not part of a regimen this time, I added some cinnamon & sugar to make the morning sweeter. 7.5 out of 10.
Next, I watched the TikTok you sent me - the one with the guy holding his chihuahua by his little life jacket - it was a cute lil’ swim. Caption could use some improvement. 8 out of 10.
Of course all of this is offset by not making trips to Naya, or renting out conference rooms to hang in, or sharing a drink in Central Filing with Skip. But, it’s not like we’re settling for FaceTimes and side-texting during meetings. We do this all because our friendship (10 out of 10) means that much to us.

OMG so, you were in my dream last night. Not just any dream - an office dream! So, we were in the digital lab pinning boards, as we do. The pressure was on: our account manager (Chris Cuomo) was relying on us to nail the upcoming Bachelor pitch. We had just heard through our sources that Matt James himself would be in attendance!!! And each time I looked over to you, you were onto pinning the next board, and the next one, and the next one after that. And when I woke up, I just thought WOW. What a powerful metaphor!!!
I’ll probably call/text/Teams you a few minutes after you get this postcard, but I wanted to commemorate this fortuitous dream in a special way!!! Because I truly believe in your hustle, and even though we’re working from home, we’re still unstoppable together! I can’t wait to be back in the office together, but until then, virtual board-pinning it is!
